State-owned Huarong looks for partners to dispose of 12 bln yuan of non-performing assets

BEIJING, June 9 (Xinhua) -- China Huarong Asset Management
Corp., one of China's four state-owned asset management firms,
said Wednesday it is looking to sell or dispose of over 12 billion
yuan (1.75 billion U.S. dollars) of non-performing assets.
Huarong Vice President Xu Zhaohong announced the plan at a
meeting in Beijing, adding that the assets are mainly shares,
bonds, factories and equipment.
Xu said the company had taken over 720 billion yuan of
non-performing assets from China's financial institutions by the
end of last year.

Chinese shares post biggest daily gain in two weeks on reported strong export data

BEIJING, June 9 (Xinhua) -- Chinese stocks posted their biggest
daily gain in two weeks Wednesday following market rumor about
strong export growth in May, which eased market concerns over
weakening economic growth.
The Shanghai Composite Index closed at 2,583.87 points, up

Securities regulator OKs Agricultural Bank of China's IPO plan

BEIJING, June 9 (Xinhua) -- China's securities regulators
Wednesday approved Agricultural Bank of China's (ABC) initial
public offering application as the lender finalized preparations
for its dual listing in Shanghai and Hong Kong.
The China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) Public

Chinese businessmen visit Cambodia to seek investment opportunities

PHNOM PENH, June 9 (Xinhua) -- A delegation of Chinese
businessmen on Wednesday met with Cambodian business people for
investment opportunities and local business partners, aimed at
strengthening trade cooperation between the two countries.

China to require anti-dumping deposits on X-ray inspection equipment imported from EU

BEIJING, June 9 (Xinhua) -- The Ministry of Commerce (MOC) said
in a preliminary ruling Wednesday that it will require deposits on
imports of X-ray inspection equipment from the European Union
The MOC said in a statement posted on its website that it has
found evidence of dumping which has caused substantial damage to
the domestic industry.
From Thursday, companies importing X-ray equipment from the EU,
China's largest trading partner, will be required to set aside
deposits with rates ranging from 48.2 percent to 71.8 percent

3.31 percent from the previous trading day to end at 2,788.8 points.
